Gabriel Arvelo is a Boston-based award-winning composer, conductor, and music producer, originally from the Dominican Republic, known for his emotionally engaging scores and refined musical storytelling. With a distinct voice shaped by a broad palette of genres and a deep understanding of rhythm and harmony, his work brings a compelling sense of drama and nuance to every project.

His journey into music began through percussion at an early age, eventually finding his primary instrument in the piano during his teenage years. This foundation allowed him to develop a dynamic and expressive approach to composition, marked by clarity, depth, and an intuitive sense of narrative.

 

Arvelo’s professional training in the prestigious Film Scoring program at Berklee College of Music has led to a growing portfolio of original scores for short films, documentaries, media content, and orchestral recordings. He has also shared his experience in educational spaces, including co-leading a film scoring workshop with acclaimed writer and cultural figure Freddy A. Ginebra. Whether writing for screen or stage, Arvelo continues to craft music that resonates with emotional authenticity and artistic integrity.
